I Love My V6 Too! I'm getting Great gas milage, I Really don't need the Speed because it has Great Pick Up and you can put alot of different mods on it to make it your own. [sm=smiley16.gif]

For me, I am 26 years old and this is my very first V6 car I have ever owned. Every car, SUV, and truck I have ever owned has been a V8 and to be honest, I went mustang shopping set on a GT. My wife's explorer was the first V6 I had ever bought or even really drove, even though it was very rare for me to drive it. I liked the 4.0 L and because of that the fourth mustang I looked at and test drove was a 2006 vista blue V6 w/ pony package. Now its mine. I am very happy with the choice I made and I could care less what anyone else says. Yes every single person I know asked "why didn't you get a GT?" my normal response is " I really like your GT". Which I don't know anyone as a friend of mine who even owns a mustang let alone a GT. We are enthusiast of a car, who cars if its a GT or a V6. If a see a nice 68 thats a V6 I don't really car that its a 6er or a V8. I care its a stang. I love both cars GT's and V6's. Both especially on this production run 05-current are awesome cars.

If I wanted a GT I would have bought a GT regardless of the interest rate. Besides, my sixer looks cooler than 9 out of 10 GT's I've seen!

I think when you have a GT it's like you feel the need to prove it can go fast all the time and you need to race a lot of other cars. I'm too old for that stuff so my V6 is 100% cool enough for me!

There was an article in a mustang magazine (I forget which one) shortly after the new body style came out saying that if you were going to modify a mustang the v6 was the way to go unless you wanted a full out race car. Realistically who needs 500 horsepower in a daily driver unless you go to the track quite often?

I understand what you guys are saying (I am one of "those" people who traded for a GT) - I LOVED my V6er pony package; the problem was I got a lemon. I had it 3 mos and it was in the shop 12 of those 90 days. It was actually in the shop when I traded it (had no tranny in it). I traded for the GT b/c it has a different tranny (and I love the power); all my probs w/ my V6 were coming from the tranny and 3 tranny's later they still couldn't figure out what was wrong w/ it. I will never bash a V6 or anyone who owns one b/c mine was a beaut!! I actually like the grill on my pony package better than my GT grill. So I am not a "traitor" to the V6er's, just had a bad experience w/ mine. Just my 2 cents

Geez, if they put three trannies in, you had an easy lemon law win. You could have gotten all your money back to put down on the GT.

In my state I was 10 more days and 2 more visits away from using the lemon law and I would have gotten what I paid less "usage allowance" so basically I probably would have gotten what I got for the trade-in. Trust me, if this 0% deal hadn't come along I would have waited and used the lemon law; I just couldn't wait (I have no doubt I would have hit the 10 days and 2 more visits before this winter!).
