Well, I suppose on a speedometer, 113 and 115 would be realtively close. I'm damn sure mine was at 115...this was Thursday night. And it definitely wouldn't go any faster. And I don't think I'll ever go that fast again outside of a track. Unless you've done that on a regular basis, you will be surprised how fast that is...scared the sh** out of me when I saw the speedometer. No tune on my car...yet. And even then, I'm going to the track to really open it up. I'm sure that will be an experience in of itself.

The 05-07 V6's are all set at 113mph so unless you got it tuned and reset the limiter how you figure you would have 115-118mph for a limiter?

How many times do you race where you would even come close to top speed? And really it isnt a debate for anyone who does not have a tuner and has reset there speed limiter its 113mph not 115 not 118, 113mph.

My friend says his governor doesnt kick in until 140 MPH, and he wanted to race me for a couple miles staight, and the street we wante to race on is long and with very few turns minor turns... so top speed would matter in that race... I need to get the x-calilbrator

Um no. Even then if his kicks in at 140 he'll still win. You can't touch 140 with an xcal. Maybe gear changing and a few other tweeks. But then at that speed I am more concerned about the resistence the surrounding air puts up than the competition.

You would have to upgrade driveshaft...the clips break around 120-125. Its not that likely to see a v6 mustang at 140 either way and where would you even find a safe spot to take it up that higher if you could?
