I paid $35 on Ebay (reputable seller) for 8 inch rally stripes, gloss finish, enough to do
top, hood and trunk.

are most racing stripes made of out the 3m vinyl? Because i had one guy quote me like 450 today for the stripes. So i didnt know if that was something different or just overpriced. I can get them online for no more than 200.

he is probably talking about painting them on. I wouldn't reccomend painting them on in case you change your mind. I would buy whatever color you want as a decal and if you really like it and want them painted on, go for it. Im thinking about having a flat black ss stripe painted from front to rear bumper on my car, but i cant find anyone that will do it for a reasonable price that i trust will do a good job.

Go to Baltimore Street Mods, select the stripes of your choice ($100-$200 depending on style and color) and install them yourself. It isn't difficult as most everyone does it themselves anyway and there are a ton of write-ups here and else that have been done about it.
