You don't have to have a GT to go fast.
Not a stock GT.

But mod for mod sorry GT pwnz0rz!

However in the bigger picture. A lightly modded V6 will cost less, for overall sunk cost, gas expenses, and insurance cost, and keep up to a stock GT. So we can't be the fastest, but we are an economically fast choice. That's how I looked at it. I knew I wasn't going to have a 10 second car. Getting 13 seconds would suffice me well enough.

No doubt...mod for mod a V8 is going to be a better platform to start with...

Some of us are at or approaching power levels/ET's of juiced up GT's. It's harder to do, but it is doable. There is alway's this comparrison of FI 6's to stock GT's. Numerous Juiced, TC'd and SC'd 6's are putting down more power than GT's with all the bolt ons.

Personally I am not out to compete with GT's, different car and different base line. Its fun to compete against V8's, but I like competing with imports and other V6 class cars. The only time I get in the GT/V6 debate is when a troll is around.

Just wanted to throw that out there. Most car enthusiasts are looking at what they can do with thier given platform....its fun to show a 4banger or 6 banger can hang...but its more fun building the beast.

its all about the sport in it. a mustang is a mustang, just different platforms serve different purposes like Rygen stated. The GT guys can go LS1 hunting, and we will knock off some 6 cylinder and import competition.

I haven't been here for a while because I had to quit my job #26. I know it was quite a radical decision but after having my health insurance canceled and not being paid for a month it was more than my wife could take. I thought if I was going to be off for a long period of time that I might have to sell my Mustang. My wife said we would refinance the house first before selling the Mustang. A woman like that you gotta love. It took three weeks to find a job #27, After three weeks into the job somebody offered me a better job #28 more money more responsibility. Being a Capitalist Pig the temptation was too much. One employer was very happy and one employer was emotionally distraught. After giving up $14,000.00 in two years of pay and benefits from job #26 I decided to put myself first.
