Default GT Takeoff Rear Swaybars Arrived - Weird...

I just got my GT takeoff swaybars from Diversified.

First, they forgot the brackets for the rear swaybar. How hard would it be to get this right.

Second, the rear swaybar has WHITE braces on it.... you know, the little bars that are connected to the rear swaybar.... they are painted white. bar is also beat to crap. Hard to believe it came right off a GT... maybe one with 2000 miles on it.

Did anybody else get a bar with white braces on it?

They ALL have the center linkages painted an off-white color from Ford. Why? Who knows.... I just repainted mine black prior to install.

Ford also doesn't do much of a job painting the bar itself. Real easy for it to look "beat to crap". Again I repainted prior to install.

I'm betting at a lot of the conversion shops (Saleen, Roush, etc) are just going full speed to get their cars built, and takeoffs like swaybars prolly get tossed around before they're sold off

if they are beat up really bad you should call them and have them give you a new pair.

I have the vert, and each swaybar had a label on it that says "Left" and also has a big "B" on them. Is this how you know it's for the vert? The "B" ?? I know the front is the same..

i know some companies paint parts such as rear sway bars or links white so if they fall off onto the road.....oncoming traffic has a chance of spotting it...just theory i guess.

I just put mine on from v-6 stuff, I have a vert too and i thought the white links were how they told them apart from the coupe. Have fun with tightening the front links!!!!! But well worth the effort

The "B" is the vert bar and the tag indicates the left side of the bar.

Mine were all black and the rear brackets were loose in the box. Call them, they will be happy to help you out. I'd also buy the ford nuts and bolts, they are much easier to install.

I have the nuts and bolts on order.. although they could not get some of the nuts, they show as discontinued.

Can the swaybar be installed with the car on a lift? I thought I read the car had to be on it wheels, with suspension compressed.

Is this true? It would be so much easier to put it on a lift and take the wheels off.

Or, can I start with it on a lift, then drop it down to do the final tightening??
