Hmm, so I'm gonna go ahead and get my Mustang another oil change tommorow, at the 7000 mile mark. I'm planning on using some Mobil 1, but my question is, what weight oil does ford recommend for use in the 2005 V6?

I don't have the manual and haven't seen anything that suggests a weight, so I'd like some input.

5w30 is what the factory recommends so do it!

Geez. Its right in your manual under the maintenance (oil) area. 5w30.

Yes it probably is. I bought my car used and it didn't include the manual.

The oil cap in the engine compartment says 5w-30 in big yellow letters.

I never got a manual either, you can find on online in pdf format if you want. I believe right at fords site is where I got it.

It taught me how to recalibrate the windows on my vert - I thought I had a bad gasket because of the wind noise. Durr.

I popped my hood yesturday evening and must have looked right over that! Still, I appreciate the help.
