Default STS Turbo

I just saw this! At first I thought "Great, another turbinator!" This actually seems like the real deal. I was wondering if any of you have heard anything about this, or know anyone that has one. We would have to get the universal kit, the gt they have sounds pretty sweet though.

I recall seing an article describing the installation of the twin screw rear mounted sts turbo system in MM&FF....(May 2006)

The article was titled "Doing it from behind"..... A bit pricey if I recall.....

haha turbonator i think not my friend
the sts turbo is a remote turbo that is mounted in the back of the car
one this reduces clutter under the hood and ruduces fabrication of exhaust pipes
two the turbo runs so much cooler that this allows for more boost
suprisinly there is not a terrible ammount of lag from this system
as for information i think they were in the middle of making a system for the v6
the gt kit is already out in single and twin turbo

I'm local to STS and they are pretty unique systems. And turbo lag despite what people may say is not bad. And granted 95% of the people who say that have never seen let alone ridden in an STS turbo vehicle. They make a good turbo system that is easy to remove if you lease the vehicle or plan on selling it down the road.

i talked to the people at sts and they told me that they could send me the single gt kit and i would have to adapt it to the v6 and have a dyno tune
they also said they were making one for the v6 i dunno if this means that its just gonna be for show or if there actually putting in into production

If enough people show interest, they'll make a V6 kit.

You can get the universal kit. That looks like it runs for about $3000.00. Add another grand for fabrications, install, and any other things, and thats actually a fairly cheap turbo system. $4000.00 - TMA may have some competition!!
