Popping Noise

Popping Noise
I just started noticing this yesterday... Whenever i slow down fast, turn (moreso when turning left than right), and when i take off or hit bumps, i hear a popping noise somewhere under the hood and feel a vibration on the gas pedal. Also, i got my car lowered quite a while ago and left the stock suspension. I didn't get it aligned because i'm waiting for the final production springs to be released (mine were the prototype springs) and the final springs are going to be lower in the rear. Anyone have any idea how to fix this or what i need to replace? Thanks.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but also my exhaust just recently started "gurgling" on occasion.

RE: Popping Noise
if you have an 05, sounds like your stock front struts are faulty... they came that way out of the factory. on the 05 there is a technical service bulletin... if you take it back to the dealer tell him what the problem is. they should fix it for free based on the warranty. I had the same problem. ford knows how to keep production costs down but theres always a handful of cars with serious problems...
only thing that might be sketchy with getting it done free is the fact youre lowered... they might lay claim that lowering caused the damage to the strut... if you were at stock height theyd have no choice... but now i dont know..

RE: Popping Noise
strangely enough, i did some doughnuts and i dont hear it anymore. If it starts again i'm just gonna throw the stock springs back on and take it to ford. Thanks for bringing the TSB to my attention!
