Mustang Terminology
I have heard a few different words and I am curious as to what they mean
I saw a mustang today called a Mach 1...what kind is that?
What is a Terminator?
What is a New Edge Mustang?
I have seen some mustangs here with SVT on the back..whats that?
Thanks

RE: Mustang Terminology
Let me start something here regarding Mustang terminology.
In the grand scheme of things, 99% of all Mustangs are NOT Muscle Cars. Sure, there were big-block motors stuffed into a few different bare-bone Mustangs (427, 428CJ, 429CJ), but the correct term for describing a Mustang is Pony Car, not Muscle Car. It bugs me that most people (including Mustang owners) say that Stangs are Muscle Cars, when they really don't fit the definition of a Muscle Car. The new S197 Mustangs are too luxurious to be considered a Muscle Car. Call it a PONY CAR folks!
Flame suit on, let the arguing commence...

RE: Mustang Terminology
Remember the original marketing adds for the Mustang? It was advertised as a daily driver for the wife to go to the market in. Which is what I did with my 67 now I occasionally take my 06' to market...we call it Wal Mart nowdays.... but I park it way out in a spot where others park when the don't want the shopping carts using their ride as a stopping point. She is not my daily driver. She is just for fun. I still call her a pony.

RE: Mustang Terminology
yea its a 6 and you can laugh but I have a KW with a 450 Detroit ( oh how I love the sound of a Detroit) and super 10 speed that sit's in my driveway if I was to need to "mow something down" so to speak. Now that would be true backlash.

RE: Mustang Terminology
no sorry I had to get off let the dogs out and shower and I replayed the post in my mind and realized it came out wrong embarasing I ment that the pony is just for fun and pleasure and I get any need for power from the KW the "true backlash" ment I had a "comeback" for why I chose a v v6 I purely don't want a v8. A bad play on words. I am sorry.
