ok, so i've had my tungsten for about a month and a half now, and while i like the color, i don't like it as much as the dsg on my 03. i'm kicking around the idea of painting it dsg in a couple of years. would this be absolutely crazy? let me know your opinions....

To do it correctly, will cost a ton of money. Is it really worth it? I love the TUNGSTEN GRAY. You would probably be without the car for awhile (a WINTER project?). I seem to recall the gray color you mention (we had a LASER RED 99 prior to our 05), is it really that different for the expense? I would rather see you spend the money on mods or new wheels or something else. You might alter the value of the car for future sale/trade (especially if you don't paint all the door jambs and hood/trunk under parts.
You asked, I offered my opinion. Me, I LOVE a nice set of chrome wheels on the TUNGSTEN GRAY, that would be where I would spend the money. Keep us posted.

I love DSG myself. It the color of my 03 Mach1. I was gonna get a tungsten grey 06 but thought why have 2 cars the same color (or almost the same color) which is why I went with the satin silver. BUT if you love it that much, I always say "you only live once, do what makes you happy"

its the purplish hue in certain lights that drives me crazy sometimes. i saw a tungsten in person before i bought it, and whether it was the time of day or the kind of light, etc., i didn't see the purple as heavy as i do now. combine that with the fact that i loved my dsg, and its something i'm considering. of course, like i said, it would be a couple years down the road.
