@HurricaneStang
The driveshaft issue was reportedly corrected half way through the 06 model year. If your car has this problem, then yes, fix it before testing above 115. Then do it as safely as possible. I worked a deal with the local airport (small town so much easier then in a big city).
Tires rated for high speeds are so rated because the tires will sustain high speeds indefinitely (it's a heat buildup issue). Tires not so rated are fine at high speed, but not for extended periods, so a short run to speeds in excess of the tires rated speed dose not hurt the tire.
@v6V,
You don't say what year your car is, but be aware there is an issue with at least the 05 through mid 06 V6 Mustang drive shaft which can cause catastrophic failure over about 115 MPH. If your car falls into this group be very careful when running it hard. Best to replace the drive shaft with a good aftermarket unit or at least install driveshaft loops before doing any really high speed testing.

...#2 but since its unsafe until you upgrade driveshaft, tires, and even knowing if you can control the car at those speeds. Limits are there for a reason, to make the vehicle alittle more safe for the people who drive there cars irresponsibly.

thanks a lot 28 for that info. Thats probably something i will add to the top of the list cuz I have maxed my car quite a few times and I was planning on getting a tuner and I don't want that to happen to me. Thanks again
