If it drove perfectly with all the hardware mods BEFORE you loaded the tune, the fix should be to simply reinstall the stock tune. If this does not fix it, there must be other issues. Reinstall all the stock hardware and load the stock tune. Verify the car is running correctly. Add back one component at a time, verifying that the car runs ok between each installation. Keep adding components in this manner until it fails. Then remove the last component you added and re-verify the car runs ok. You now know what caused the failure. If the tune is not for a specific mod then I would do this test in this sequence (flow chart).

Car has all stock components installed and you have verified it runs good.

Note: Test run the car between every step to insure it runs ok or it does not run ok.

ORIGINAL: craezjo

i brought it in today nd they said it was the throttle body, but it drove perfectly until i tried to tune it.
Craezjo, dealerships historically blame any non-original parts. It's a pass the buck thing. Happens all the time with computers support people. Doesn't mean it really is the TB, just that it's the easy way out for the guys at the dealership, since they would actually have to troubleshoot the car, not just plug in their diagnostic computer and do what it tells tells them.
