How does the Procharger compare to the feel of the XCharger you tested recently? Boost comes on just as soon?
Well, the X comes on 1K rpm sooner, but it does not feel like such a huge difference when you are driving it to be honest. It's hard to compare the two because one is 6 or 7lbs of boost and looking at the boost gauge, I never got past 8.5lbs of boost on the PC. The PC definitely pulls harder on the top end, that I am sure of. It just wants to keep going, does not feel NA at all, it just wants to keep pulling. The X is definitely the more streetable of the cars I drove, PC, X and Turbo. It feels the most natural. I say that again because with the turbo, or even the PC, it can suprise you if you are not focused. For example, I would not hesitate to let my wife borrow the stang if the X was in it, cause it is additional power accross the band, but with a TC or PC, it would suprise her.....and that could lead to a problem. Though with the X, you have to be careful pulling out of parking space so you don't roast the tires or back into something. I'd really like to see what the X feels like at 9lbs of boost for a better comparrison. For stop light to stop light fun, both will put a smile on your face, even with 3.31 gears. I was surprised how hard I could launch the PC and how it ripped through the gears.
Rygen, which would you recommend for a daily driven manual v6: pc, x, turbo, other? I hold you as one of the most knowing 4.0 owners on this forum so I figure you could help.
