Default Hurst shifter Install?

I bought a Hurst short throw competition shifter for my V-6 and was wondering what the cost of installation has been?

Also, any recommendations on reputable shops in the Northwest Houston area would be appreciated?

Thanks!

It's a very easy install, you just need ramps and a helper.

No ramps, no helper. Any other suggestions?

I'm just looking to find out what an average price is for the install? I"d like to do it myself, but just don't have the tools or help needed.

It should cost anywhere from $40 - $90 for the install. I don't know where to get it done at though... sorry...

So, you've installed a hurst shifter all by yourself without a lift or ramps?

If so, please provide me the details. Thanks.

I did mine myself. Use one jack stand under the the body behind drivers front wheel and read the directions. Took me longer finding the tools in my sh**house garage than installing the shifter.

Agreed. I did mine as well with a couple of jack stands and my own meager mechanical skills. Getting the old shifter out is the hardest part (unless you remove the driveshaft, then removal is a cinch).

Go to sears drop $40 on a pair of jackstands and do it yourself. plus you`ll have stands for next time.
