yea he must be a bad driver. stock for stock it is close. i have run right next to a stick fox with exhaust with my car, and i have taken an auto fox by about half a car (dont know if he was stock or what) but with his mods and your tranny's he should have taken you. good kill tho.

The other thing that everyone has to consider is he was racing a 20 year old car. He said nothing about what shape the engine was in. With enough miles on it, I don't care what mods he has, it's going to be slow.

If youre in a stock 6er and hes in a 5.0, and you beat him. TELL YOUR FRIEND TO SELL THE CAR< HE OBVIOUSLY DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE! Maybe he needs something hes not scared of, a Geo Metro perhaps.

+2, even wiht 2.73 gears

Also, the 5.0 responds better to mods than the 4.0, and its a lighter car. It's been awhile since I was up under a 5.0, but they come with like 4 or 6 cats, just gutting the cats with an after market exhaust system was good for 30rwhp. It's a great tuner car. They can run 12's NA with bolt ons. I've seen it.
other way around the 4.0 will respond better, i have also found that GT ratings are somewhat over rated the 5.0 is just good to do a build up on

your friend is terrible at driving sorry to say lol. My friend has a 1989 5.0 LX with 100k miles on it with a GT40 intake manifold, short throw shifter, running open H pipe, A/C removed, 70mm throttle body, K&N CAI, some lightening, some rims and tires, and that's about it and i can't even keep up lol. I get murdered from a dig, roll...everything. Iunno how in god's name your friend is losing by that much to you from a dig....his throttle cable must be not adjusted properly.
