my 6er vs my buddys 5.0
i got a 06 sixer stang bone stock, and its auto. my buddy has a 5speed 5.0 with full exhost x pipe intake, msd box and i ate him up, we took off from a dead stop and i pulled and just kept going proll had 3-4 cars on him by the end of a 1/4, then we went again with him from like a 25mph roll and me at 15, he was about a car ahead of me, he had me till i was about at 65 then i realed him in and said good bye, i used 2 ride in his car and think it was the ****, now i laugh cause the lil 4.0 took him, he said v6s are for chicks, wonder what he thinks now.. lol

Like petepete said he mustve been a bad driver. I really doubt that you would beat a 5.0 if your dead stock and he has some mods. Stock vs Stock its close but they still have more hp and tq especially if you have an auto and he has a stick. If there were both good drivers racing he would pry beat you.

LOL nice, with a few mods on your side it won't matter about his mods. I killed an 99 -04 GT at the track last friday for my first race. Then on my second run I killed a 05 GT mustang!! Felt good thats all I got to say. Time is still crappy though but he. lol

If youre in a stock 6er and hes in a 5.0, and you beat him. TELL YOUR FRIEND TO SELL THE CAR< HE OBVIOUSLY DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE! Maybe he needs something hes not scared of, a Geo Metro perhaps.

I agree with everyone here, us modded and a 5.0 bone stock and we can catch up to them. They run 15 flat to high 14's stock. A cat back system makes them pretty quick, cause of all the cats they come with stock.
Either something is wrong with dudes car, or he should swap out the tranny with a C4. LOL.

In 1984, the 5.0 GT only had 165 hp, 1985 had 210 hp, and the 1986 had 225 hp. I know the 1984 5.0 had alot of torque, but it only had 165 hp. I think it would be a close race....

Also, the 5.0 responds better to mods than the 4.0, and its a lighter car. It's been awhile since I was up under a 5.0, but they come with like 4 or 6 cats, just gutting the cats with an after market exhaust system was good for 30rwhp. It's a great tuner car. They can run 12's NA with bolt ons. I've seen it.
