Rattles

RE: Rattles
My door handles and Automatic O/D button have a slight rattle.
My Dash Board also makes a noise sometimes:

that the dash on my passenger-side makes quite some quirky and creeky noises (not sure what, haven't narrowed it down yet.) I know it's not a big deal, but unfortunately on my long drive to work I can't help but get slightly annoyed. Is this normal/any way to fix it, is it worth going to the dealer and use the "under my warranty, fix it" routine for this, or should I just ignore it being I am probably paranoid??

Strangely enough, I had something very similar on my 07. My wife figured out that if she stuck her finger between the dash and door panel it would stop. I took it in to the dealer for another issue and had them "fix" that too. Their "fix" was to replace the door latch. Of course it didn't do anything. I finally figured out it was the side panel of the dash rubbing in the kick panel trim that runs up vertically along the edge of the door (can see it when the door is open). I unsnapped the trim, installed some felt pads and snapped the trim back in. Now it's nice and quiet

RE: Rattles
I have a rattling in the passenger door, just fixed a rattle on the driver side (side skirt was loose), and have a rattle in the trunk (trim is loose). When I take it in to repair the front right strut (it's creaking) I'm gonna tack on all the rattles. It better be fricken perfect when I get it back. I hate it when I leave my car for a week, get it back, and all I get is a coat of dust. [:@]

RE: Rattles
I brought the car in last night, took the technician for a drive and wouldn't you know it the only rattle we could here was the one in the passenger door, must be Murphy's law! Anyway he told me Ford has a "squek and rattle" kit he is goin to pull the dash pad and put some foam tape in and fix the door panel, we'll see how it sounds when I get it back.

RE: Rattles
I picked my car up last night, and they pulled the door panels off and put insulation behind them, pulled the dash pad, and put insulating tape at the points it makes contact with metal, center console was removed and insulated as were both A pillars. They took care of most of the rattles, the only one left is coming from deep within the dash, and they won't fix it because I have an aftermarket stereo and the warranty won't cover it, at least I can drive it now with out going crazy from all the rattles.

I have read the side mirrors rattle, but there is a DIY fix for that on here somewhere. So far (knock on wood) I have only heard a squeaky noise coming from the shifter but only during cold weather. It's the leather boot rubbing against the console frame.
I only have 11k miles on my stang and I don't play the music too loud. I do feel playing booming music so loud causes things to loosen up.
