It's totally worth it! Best cheap mod I've done. And cool looking as hell!

I love mine. I installed it thanks to BEAUSTANG! The stock shifter sucks big time... The only thing with the Hurst, I developed A rattle in it over time, I think I know what it is, I believe its the factory bushing I used per their instructions, I believe they are too sloppy, I have not jacked up the car to confirm it but I did write to HURST tech support for an answer before I put the car in the air for a fix.
I figured I would research it before I make a move, other guys in here and other forums have had the same problem, some put tape on the knurled side of the shifter to remove rattle,so if you are going this route, do so and loctite the bolts that hold the shifter handle. I will post answer from HURST when they email me... If they do!
I did see somewhere that ther is a kit for the older shifters for the 04 Stangs and earlier for this same problem, Its just 3 gaskets for the trans cover and the shifter made out of Hi Temp RTV its supose to releive the rattling. Ill wait and see!

+1 on the rattle and the tape. I still get it a little bit under hard acceleration but nearly as bad before the tape. Install is easy. Well worth the $170.
