Car running like sh!t

RE: Car running like ****
scrming, I am sure that it isnt too had to reflash the Xcal2 itself to allow a person to use it on multiple cars. In theory, it should be very very easy. I am sure that if I gave it to one of my friends working on their computer engineering degree they could have it flashing many cars in no time

Scrming is right, the device will marry itself to the car it loads the tune on. You can use it on another car to pull codes however, which is handy. Sure, given the right skillset, you could "hack" the device. Though I wouldn't trust it...
Sorry, "one of my friends wroking on thier computer engineering degree"
Sounds so much like...
"dude, we can fix it....my dad has this awesome set of tv repair tools!!!"
Sorry, being in the IT field nearly 13 years now, and with Scrming my senior in the field by a good many of years, its easier said than done. Not to mention illegal. Just buy a XCAL2 and do it the right way.

I didn't say it couldn't be hacked... yes, there is a way for SCT to "unlock" an X-Cal2... However I'm not sure SCT dealers are supposed to be flashing customer's cars without selling them the X-Cal2... I don't know what kind of contract the dealers have to sign... SCT is in the business of selling tuners.... hmmmm
