Default got my first prototype

I just got my first prototype shift bezel from the machine shop
I didn't like any of the ones I found around so I decided to have my own made

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...Y/DSC03528.jpg

he told me he could ball mill it , or put a running horse on it . so we are playing around with some ideas now.
I will have it installed at lunch today

Very nice looking piece. Are you planning on selling them? I would imagine that if you did they would probably be very expensive. Machine work on a small scale usually is. Kinda curious about the 4 clips on the back are you using the same type of clips as the stock installation? Are you using tape or some other? Anyway, looks good! Dave

I am getting one and a few for some friends of mine
I am considering making more , depends on how many people are interested. like you said a small amount will cost more to make.I am thinking they will cost around $60 after polishing if I do 10 or so at a time. if he does the ball milling or embossing the pony in them they may be a little more. I am thinking about maybe doing one with the "mustang" block letters like the scuff plates have . that would look good IMO
I am planning on just using 3m molding tape.

thanks for the good words , this has been a fun project
