I think the [sm=chairshot.gif] when someone is trying to offer a voice of experience might be taken as "offensively." lol!
Also (apparently seeking my own chair smiley) now who do you think knows more about our cars? Some yahoo sitting behind a virtual counter at Jeg's or some yahoo sitting behind a virtual counter at Ford Racing Products? Assuming they are both equal yahoos! Hmmm!

I dont want you to break your car on the contrary ...the Good luck is not meant to be offensive nor sarcastic...i wish everybody good luck here in everypost i answer. I do not know everything and have been corrected on more than one ocasion by fellow forum members, if iam wrong iam wrong. I just based my answers on 10 years of modding only modern mustangs and 2 years of tunning 87-06 stangs with SCT programs. We are all here to help....and if iam not mistaken that is why everybody posts ....to get advice and opinions. Really ...Really ....not sarcastically...Good Luck with your car and your planned mods.

RE: Intake-finally worked
What has essentially been done is only changing out the filter. The stock MAF sensor and housing is still intacked. Correct?
If the MAF reads air speed/temp and calculates fuel needed with that info, how can simply changing the air filter make the sensor read incorrectly?
I can understand how an oiled filter that gets the MAF sensor dirty can cause incorect readings, but lets assume that is not an issue in this case. I know the new filter is less restrictive, but the amount of restriction the air filter contains should not be used in the computer's calculations because filter restriction will change as you drive down the road.
