I originally purchased the extended warranty when I intended to use the car as my daily driver; I've since changed my plan and will only put on 6 to 8k a year so I cashed in the warranty.

I have never been a fan of extended warranties. They are a great money maker for the car companies, because most of them are never used.

I have the full boat, everything you could ever think of getting in the way of a warrenty and it didn't cost me a dime. So yes for me the oil changes evey three month for three years alone make it worth it, not to mention the water leak they just had to fix and the towing charge to get it to the repair shop. Now if I had had to pay for it that might be a different question, but I would still hedge towards yes.

My 05 was purchased with about 10,000 miles on it, and they offered me the extended warranty at a very reasonable price. I took it for the first time ever on a vehicle purchase (I'm over 50 and have purchased a number of vehicles). I hope I never have to use it.

I just purchased a new STAR motorcycle and they included the five year YES plan from YAMAHA, so I'm set on that also (included in my deal, no additional charge),

I bought the 7/75 premium for my 05 and used it for a bad window seal on the drivers side window it had be replaced and it would have been covered on the standard warranty, So you don't need it.

On the other hand I have it on my Expedition and with the storm came the first problem. The drivers side wiper stopped working. The entire unit is covered and made in the end need to be replaced by my extended warranty but it would not have been covered with the standard warranty, So you need it.
So my final two cents is that you definately may or may not need it at some time so, with or without, it's better to safe than sorry.
It is also currently the only thing that keeps me from making huge HP mods, I'm waiting to be absolutely sure I don't need it before I install parts that void or cancel it.

Got the full package here, so the services, oil changes, and who knows what else. I have put it to used a few times already. It has covered my shaker500 (which is now out lol), a tail lamp, a funny sound in my tranny, and some 'electronics management system' when my windshield wipers died. I also have got 3 oil changes from them too.
