Who all on this forum has ordered them the tunableinducation.com ................CAI/Xcal II combo?
Today was the first time I actually looked at it.
The sponsor guy sounds really nice........the deal is way better then anyone else's.......$490.00......for gloss black!
How do their intakes/XCal II combos compare to those of C & L's and others?
Im really thinking of going after this deal.........sometime soon.
So guys.......just let me know what you all know about this combo deal...........and how it stands with the rest of them.
thanks!

RE: CAI

according to a very reputable tuner, the TI actually performs the best

RE: CAI

i hear that it's good, but from TI and the other tuners (Bama, Evo, Bren) the tunes are not as agressive

RE: CAI

How much does bren, evo...........and others sell their custom tunes for? I could just buy their tunes from from and they'll email me their tunes right? how much?

RE: CAI

they are expencive, it is worth it to buy the package from the tuners instead. I know that brenspeed and bamachip tunes go for about $130. I am not too sure about evolution. I know evolution sells the whole intake and tuner package for around $500

I love it it is awesome and wait until you need to talk to the owner of the company JOHN he is a great guy and his customer service is just top notch. The tune is really great to it will liven up the car, if you want more JOHN will talk you through improving his tune or you can spend a few extra $$$ and get Doug at B A M A to do a tune for you.

I love mine. John the owner is great to work with answers his own phone and e-mails. I noticed a nice improvement and have had no problems. I also love the color matching combo. I wish he had still been able to get the green filters since I have a Legend Lime but it wasn't his fault. For the price and quality I would highly recommmend it. As a bonus John includes the USB cable with the X-Cal which some of the other dealers charge extra for. Here is a pic of mine right after install (please excuse the dirty engine compartment, we were having some crappy weather I hadn't been able to detail it for a few weeks.)

interesting.........................has anyone in here .........dyno'ed their car with johns CAI/tune?
I really think I might go this way.
If I get a CAI/XCAL 2 from bren,evo,speed................dont they have torque tunes and racer tunes......apart from their 87, 89,91 tunes?
Do they charge extra for these? How much more?

I got a race tune from Doug @ B A M A for $75, he emailed it to me before the payment was processed. Nice guy better tune. As far as the stock tune from TI (demoulet) very impressive, Dougs shift points are different and harder. GOOD LUCK but honestly you can't go wrong with TI's deal.
