Default May be saying goodbye to the Pony for a Toyota

Looks as if there's a good chance I'll end up working at a local toyota dealership in the next few months as a salesman. With this being the case, and my monster discount that I'll have on toyota cars...if the discount applies to the '08 Supra (yes they're making it, confirmed it with the dealership today) I may just have to trade in stang.

I've spent many years selling cars and unless you're in the top 5%$ of the sales team there's no such thing as a monster discount. Of course, if you're a hot $hit salesperson and the discount is good why not own both???

;-)

At this dealer, everyone just gets the employe discount, the same one that all Toyota employes get. And compared to what the public pays, it's monster.

a 400 model and a 500 model. It's also suppost to be a V8 this time around. Which will make it the only CAR that toyota has with a V8 option.

That kinda takes away from the supra being a V8. I don't want to hear a V8 rumble coming from a supra!! Just don't fit it. Kinda cool yet kinda lame. We'll see what the future brings.

Toyotas Tundra, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser have V8s so it wont be the "only" one with a V8.....I had bad experiences with Toyotas...my 99 Camry engine broke down beyond repair this year....all Fords I had went on for over 300k miles and the engines were still good.......
