I saw that review way back when. It is what sold me on my car.

RE: VERY good v6 review.
if only ford added a trunk relese, and didnt use drive by wire[8D]and used the old 3.8 block and converted that to SOHC rather then the current one, and stroked it to a 4.2, then 6ers would be at 350 HPbut they didnt, so all you can do is cry over what they should of done

I don't even want to say how long I spent looking for that button when I first got the car. Hey, it's in my 03 so I figured it would be in the 06 too. lol

....or they could have just put forged pistons in the 4.0 and better flowing heads. maybe a bit of a bump in compression and tada! an amazing platform. why use the old 3.8 block? with forged pistons i garuntee this block will handle ALOT of power.

stock 3.8 block and crank have been proven to over 600 HP, in fact, no one has broken on, the "essex" block was based of buicks 231 stage 1 (Grand National anyone?) but used aluminum heads and a stronger block, and im not sure how good the heads flow on the calogne but the split port essex puts NPI 4.6, and 5.0 heads to shame one thing the 4.0 does have though is it responds better to basic bolt ons then the 3.8
