RE: Steeda short shifter install???
I installed one of these last summer - here is a link to my thoughts at the time: https://mustangforums.com/m_1787178/tm.htm
I have some errands to run this morning, but I will post some additional observations later today, based on driving it for several months.

RE: Steeda short shifter install???
Overall, I still really like this shifter. I wish that they had shortened the handle by 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch. I may take it off someday and have a machine shop shorten it some.
As I mentioned in the original write-up, the new shifter is the same height as the old, but the throw is reduced by about 1 1/4 inches. They did this by keeping the overall length of the lever the same, but moving the pivot point 1" closer to the shift ****. This decreases your mechanical advantage, which increases shift effort.
I find that I really like the feel, as compared to stock. My wife's '06 still has the stock shifter - now when I drive it, the shifter feels as sloppy as an old Chevy LUV...
A little Loctite on the stop bolts would probably be a good thing, once they are adjusted how you like them. My rear stop (2nd, 4th, Reverse) loosened up twice on me on freeway trips. It's a little disconcerting to get to the bottom of the ramp and discover that you can't get into 2nd or 4th at all...
If I were doing it again, I would probably buy another stock shifter assembly to install it on, so that I would have a chance to undo at a later date, if I wanted.
Good luck with it!
