Also wondering if the damper changes the overall noise at all RPMs or only noticeably affecting the 1500 RMP vibration.

I know that the noise and vibration related to exhaust movement, not related to transmission; but jerseystang07 suggested that we should down shift at 1500 rpms. It is not applicable to auto transmission.

RE: Loud Stock V6 Exhaust at 40mph?
tientran,
Thanks for the advice. I think I will try the damper since it is covered under warranty and I can always take it off. The problem I have is that I like it loud when I stomp on the gas, but when I am cruising at a steady speed I would rather hear the stereo more than the engine. I also have a convertible so I hear the exhaust more than I would with a coupe.
My power window switches vibrate with the radio and the exhaust noise. Does anyone know how to take these out? I would like to add some foam under the switch plate to stop the vibrateion. I took out theheadlight switch already to install fog lightsand I am wondering if it is a similar fastening method for the power window switch or if anyone has done it before?
By the way, I found a great techique for removing the headlight switch. Instead of using a screwdriver to pry the bottom up, you can slip in a thin card. I used a Chili's gift card which is thinner than a credit card and it worked excellent. The card recesses the metal tabs and the switch pulls right out with no force and no scratching of dash or switch plate.
