Default sensors and porting questions

I was wondering if anyone has a wideband o2 sensor on their stang and what the results were. and if those of you with f/i stangs had to have your heads ported? Some friends of mine were telling me I needed the wb o2 sensor to get the best possible hp tune and that I had to port the heads to s/c or t/c it w/out almost immediately blowing it sky high. I'mreally new to modding and I don't have the budget to put extra things to the car that I really don't need.

Default RE: sensors and porting questions

you don't need to port your heads to run a blower/turbo, but it would net you some awesome gains on top of what it will already put out. i beleive our stock heads actually flow pretty well. most shops that do tuning will have a wideband for tuning, but most will reccomend you get an a/f gauge just to be on the safe side, but it is not necessary.
