Wait untill you get everything, and then put everything in at once.
One price! It should run you about $700.00

yeah man do it all at once since the labor is the main cost. Get a good gear guy to do it.

Anybody that will be doing the installation that specializes in differentials............should have gear oil, but you will need this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWD1V

Edit = link...

Not necessarily this brand name, but you will need a shim kit, if you have alot of miles on your diff now, you should replace the bearings as well...................anyway look around.............Ford Racing I am sure has a kit as well. fordracingparts.com

Cheers!!

Since I'm looking to do this soon as well, is a bearing kit absolutely necessary, or is it just something that would be nice to include?

For all you Mustang owners who have never worked on a rear-end before but want to swap their gears please, please, please resist the urge! Pay a professional to do it right. I've seen a car loose a wheel and axle because the c-clip wasn't installed correctly, LSDs chew themselves apart because they wern't shimmed properly, and even whole rearends come apart because they were driven dry.

While this isn't rocket science and there are plenty of pictorials on the net there's also alot of detail involved that's often lacking. You need to know what gets lock-tighted vs. antiseized, which seals have to be replaced, how to tell a good girdle from a POS and so on. The cost of installation is small compared to what you can loose from an improper installation.
