Default hmmm black licenese plate area?

i am thinking about painting this area flat black along with a honeycomb blackout panel and black bezels for my taillights...i don't think anybody has painted that yet, what do you guys think? I think if you just started the paint where the license plate area started to curve inward and painted inside that area it would look really sweet with other blackout parts. give me some thoughts.

If you do make it flat black otherwise it would just look weird.

I agree. That's not something I would do to my white Mustang, but who knows, maybe it would look cool. My only problem there is that a black background would draw focus to the white license plate, which would take away from focus where it should be, like the center emblem (which a honeycomb panel draws attention to). Just seems like blacking out behind the plate would make people look at a part of the car which has no visual importance (that is, the plate).

michigan has dark blue license plates, almost the same color as my car. the original reason i thought about it is i have two huge scratches on the side of that area and it is too much for touch up paint. i was gonna get a real cheap v6 takeoff to replace it on ebay, but i decided hell might as well do this first. if i don't like it i will just switch it out! ill post pics when i do it...should be by the end of this month. oh and it will be flat black for sure.

Don't forget that your blue plate goes away when you renew next. You will get a new plate as part of the process since they have done away with the blue one -- you won't get just a new tab to put on the plateby mid 2007is my understanding.

That's exactly what I plan on doing to my Vista Blue V6 in the Spring.
The AVS Tail shades,Silverhorse Honeycomb Panel and Sequential Turn Signals.
