Default lowering the seat

Lets face it, mustangs werent designed for people 6'1" and up. Just getting in and out seems like a contorsionist's act, and when I finnaly do get in there i find my eye looking out of the top of the windsheild, almost to the black stuff on the top. Im looking for a way to lower my seat, using either new seat brackets, of cutting out some cusioning, and i wanted to know if anyone else had already done it. I dont wanna start the project then have to drive to the hardware store on a milk crate.

Do you have a power seat? I'm 6-1 and I fit fine in mine. I have a power seat and it is adjusted all the way down and probably 1" from being pushed all the way to the rear.

If you have a manual seat, the best bet would be to shorten the brackets. Removing any foam will only make it more uncomfortable.

Good Luck!!!

I'm 6'2", have the manual seat, have mine almost to the floor and 1 click from all the way back and can see fine. But then again, all I've ever owned and driven before this car are GM F-Bodies which are shorter than hell (sorry to mention that here, but it's a reference point).

I'm 6'1" and like 275 lbs and I fit fine in mine, plenty of head of room. I've got the power seat though and it's lowered all the way
