Default traction control and snow

i was in denver between christmas and new years. coming back thru Nebraska a tractor trailer rig was stuck on a snow covered incline at a stop light. as i was passing him the car in front of me stopped then proceeded on. this caused me to lose my momentum and i became stuck. i have driven on snow my whole driving life (over 45 years). i was trying to get the rear to swing sideways so i could steer into that direction and get moving. the traction control did it's job and kept applying brake so i couldn't get moving and the brake's smell alerted me to that. i reached over, turned the control off, in second gear i gently applied throttle, got the rear to move sideways, steered into the direction the rear was going and got moving easily. i won't fault the traction control totally as earlier that day on slippery I-80 at about 50 mph the rear started to slide a bit and the traction control pulled me back straight. a caution if you are caught stuck, try turning off the traction control before trying to rock back and forth as you may be used to doing in other cars.

nice vert, LX200. my 05 is silver with red interior also. i painted my spoiler and wheels matte black. i added a vinyl panel to the hood that corresponds dimensionally to the matte black out that was on my 1970 Cobra and have added the pony grille with spots. tried to post here but am told the pict is too large and i am not knowledgeable as to how to change it to fit. i'd be glad to email to you to see if you can do so.

Yes, I also found that works the hard way.
