they can only void your warranty if they can prove that the mods you did broke the part that is broken. so let's say you do even full exhaust....your warranty on your tranny, your motor (if the exhaust is done right) your exterior, interior, axles, rear end, etc etc.....everything should be fine, but obviously they aren't going to warranty the part that you put on.

Changing the exhaust sytem does NOT allow more air to flow into the car due to less backpressure. As a piston moves down and fills with air, the inlet system is not in any way in contact with the pressure in the outlet system. A dual muffler, or more free flowing single helps the car because the engine wastes less pressure pushing the exhaust gas out the cats and pipes and muffler.
Okay, I can seewhat you're saying but you areincorrect.Although I can get into a rather long explanation, cam shafts areset up for what'sknown as valve overlap. The period of valve overlap is constant throughout the entire RPM band on the 4.0.
Valve overlap is when both intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time. Not a lot but they are both open.Trust me, opening up the exhaust 'does'effect the intake volume and velocity just like it effects overall VE. The engine breaths better, period. The varioussensors see this change. The MCU adjusts things accordingly.
If the exhaust valve is open at the same time as the inlet valve is open, then any extra flow you are getting is moving into the piston and right out the exhaust. Net result... no more air in the piston during detonation.

incorrect, It is a fact that more valve overlap results in scavaging the intake air, basically the faster the air leave the more is pulled in. it happens so fast that the air that is pulled in doesn't have time to leave so it fills the cylinder better. Kinda like a ram-air scoop. Air is FORCED into the combustion chanber. Although opinions are allowed on the matter, i have heard that from all of my instructors and people i asked
