Default Question for those with duals...I was thinking of getting them

on my 06 v6 pony

Should I get the gt take off rear bumper or just let the shop cut it? I want it to look smooth. I'm fairly new to this, so I don't know what else do I need besides the duals. Should I get Y pipe or what?

Which is the best one to get with the best setup? Approx how much would everything cost me, total.

Thanks guys

I installed a GT take off bumper cover just this evening. Looks great!
I'd go with true duals if I were you.
Don't go with Y pipe. That's soooricey!
You won't get the same performance improvement with a Y pipe system either.
I have Pypes true dual X pipe system with Violator mufflers that came with the kit.
It's complete with the extra hangers, clamps etc. and instructions too although I'd say they are not for rookies but you can get a dealer etc. to install the system for you.
I'm also throwing in a posi-trac' differential.
So far so good ;-)

Your in luck. I just happen to have the receipts right here.
I paid $389.95 for the whole kit plus shipping of course.
Received it within a few days. Good service!
Talk to Chris if you can. He's very knowledgeable and helpful.
Been there for years too.

I paid $189.95 for the differential if anyone is interested.

The C&L CAI with Diablo Predator tuner cost me $499.95 and they threw in a Helix power tower throttle body spacer as well. Great deal!

All told with shipping and handling I paid $1137.75! Excellent!
I purchased the rear bumper cover 'take off' from V6MustangStuff. Not to bash them but the guys they use in Indiana really suck! Ran me $256.49 with and $84.00 shipping charge.

The owner Don was especially concerned and had them send me a replacement which was worse than the original bumper cover. It's not Don's fault. But I told him he needs to find another company to handle his take off parts. They are extremely careless!
The bumper cover I kept needs a couple of touch ups.
They only warn you that you may have to buff out a few minor scuffs and clear coat scrathes but they say nothing about gouges or scuffs all the way down to the primer which takes more than buffing to correct.
Beware!
I wont' be purchasing any more take off anything from V6MustangStuff until I know they have taken care of the problem.

Oh one more thing. The dealer is going to install all the goodies except for the CAI and tune for around $350.00. I know the service manager and some of the otherservice guys and mech's arefriends ofmine;-). I'd do the work myself if I had the time.
Your price may vary ;-D.

i cut my rear bumper. you'd have to lie under the car to see that the cutouts aren't exactly matched. i love the way drivers pass me slowly trying to figure out what i have. my tips are late Lincoln ovals. otherwise true duals with dynamax mufflers. cost me $130 total at my local shop.
