Default New Wheels : 17" or 18"

Alright, I need some help from you other V6 owners. I've got an '05 5 spd V6 Black Mustang. I've had it for a while now and love every thing about it, except the 16" wheels. I'm not a fan, don't care for them. I've decided to get some black bullit wheels and take off the mustang decal running along the bottom, make the whole car black. My question is, should I get the 17" or 18"?(don't want to hear anyone mention 20", not for me) Any pros or cons of either one? I'm leaning towards the 18", but if I can't spin the tires with them, then I'll go with the 17". Any advice would be great! Thanks.

Bigger the wheel the more energy required to turn it...if you don't care about speed and etc...then i'd go with the 18"...either way the performance difference between 17" and 18" is no where near the utter lag created (not to mention crapi ride) with 20"...so if your going to go with either 17" or 18" I would base it on what you like "look" wise...ps the 16" are awesome!!!

So only one person has anything to say?? Ok, anyone out there with 18" wheels on your V6, can you still spin your tires? Just curious before I go spend a lot of money for new wheels.

Iwould go with 18", and if you have a 5sp. you'll still be able to spin your tires, automatic, maybe. 20" wheels are not for me either

I 've been very happy with the factory 17's I switched to...and there are lots of lower price spare wheels and tires out there with all of the take-off parts floating around...if you nick a rim or whatever down the road.

I have 18 inch deep dish bullitts. the lower profile tire makes for a little bit bumpier ride. you definitely feel the road more, but its not that bad. I didnt notice any real performance difference going to an 18 and I think it looks sweet. thats the way I would go. i would just hate to see you get 17s then wish you got 18s when they get mounted up. as far as spinning the tires...cant really speak to that. I been trying my best to keep the tread life as long as possible haha.

I would keep the 16 inch rims, and get BFG Radial T/As!!!

They look glorious.

If I go to new wheels, they will be 18s. As for spinning the wheels, can't we just enjoy driving our cars without having to do tricks with them?

Do they make the BFG Radial T/A's for the factory 17" bullitts?
Or do they only make them up to 16" size?
I was planning on getting the takeoff bullits and good tires for them.....
I really like the look of those BFG Radial T/A's
