Should have called the cops and had him arrested. This is no different than him walking up to your car and beating it with a bat. If someone did that.. wouldn't you call the cops?.. even if it was on "private property"! Seriously!

I think he is already screwed. No police report. Who's to say your friend was driving the car and it wasn't you? Like everyone else said, first thing you do is call the cops. Even if the guy is going to pay for the damage and you aren't going to go through the insurance always have the police report cause you can always go back to it. Can you say screwed? Not to make you feel bad but I think you are pretty screwed. When it comes to my car, **** friends ya know LOL

Its one thing even stupiid to let your friends drive your car with you in it. But the fact that he took it out when you werent there and completely wrecked it that sucks. And also try not to get insurance involved too much because the last thing you want is your insurance to go up as a 17 year old because of damage that wasnt your fault.

call the insurnce company....tell him to pay for the damage....if he refuses....get a bat.....and teach his kneecaps a lesson.....why should you pay for his screw up...lesson...never ever let your friends drive your car...mine ask all the time...i say no...they call me a dick..and i say yes i am and then remind them its my mustang not thiers.....
