How much faster?

How much faster?
Sorry.. too lazy to search right now.
A stupid question.. How much of a difference does a good 89 tune and a CAI make? I always read "night and day"... "wakes her up" etc... can anyone be more descriptive?
I have trouble getting traction stock.. I can't turn and punch it with out spinning my right tire.. and my TCS goes off going into second sometimes when it seems dry out. Would I get any traction with a tune? Is it almost necessary to get a locking differential afterwards?
Just a newb trying to understand.

RE: How much faster?
a tune won't effect traction regardless. that is unless you detune it but that would be rediculous to do.
I just puta Ford racing posi-traction differential on my pony and now it smokes both tires .
traction improvement otherwise, sure, there is an improvement, especially in the snow with TCS on.
I presume you can turn your TCS on and off?
Have a look and see what I mean.

RE: How much faster?
I think that a Traction lock differential would be your best bet. The T-lock will distribute power to both wheels, rather than concentrate it on one side or the other. This will allow you to hook up much better. Also, I think that it is worthwhile to mention, that you might want to invest in some 3.73 gears and have them installed while you're in there. The gears are relatively cheap andwill give you more felt power, but are still street-able. Besides, the install is going to cost about the same if you do the T-lock or T-lock and gears. One thing though, watch out for Mustangman, he's on a mission from God to save the world from the invasion ofthe evil T-locks. He-He. best of luck!

so is the detroit tru-trac not worth it then? ive read wut mustangman has said about the t-lok but i dont wanna spend money buying something and having it break on me after spending hard earned money on it.

somebody did break a tloc....i think it was php or someone....it was one of the shop owned cars with huge strain on it. really, you are pretty safe going either way, i will personally go tloc just for extra insurance cause i have no other car to drive if something breaks, but if you are low on cash, a tloc is definately not a bad way to go!
