Default exhaust... just read it...

I knowI know another exhaust question... This one is about the H-pipe... Where in the heck did everyone get them? If it was custom made... Where from... How much? Did the welder start from scratch or did they modify aGT one to fit? I called the dealer and asked for the hangers, over-axel-pipe (intermediate pipe?), and a GT H-pipe. The dealer claimed it was2500 bucks... No joke! I asked for four pieces of metal tubing and some rubber hangers!... Rediculous!
Other places are wanting upwards of $450 to install the 200 dollars in partsneeded from Ford (pipe and hangers)andfabricate the H-pipe... are they that complex to create?
One shop is telling me X-pipe is the way to go... He is almost telling me not to go H-pipe, claims X will give me best gains and sound... Ive been listening and personallyI like the H-pipe sound much better.
So... give me some prices and places (big names, not local joints... Im in San Angelo,TX aka middle of nowhere) that you went to so I can get an idea on who to listen to!

Jegs sells h-pipes that can be cut to fit. Check their exhuast section. Very cheap. I'm getting one.

Anyone have experience with these? Im sure if they are welded it would be a solid investment?

I bought a complete GT exhaust, from manifolds to mufflers, for $80. I still haven't put it on yet, but I will soon. I got really lucky and snagged it off ebay. I live in VA and the exhaust was up in Jersey, but the dealership I boutgh it from happened to be right beside the Bordentown, NJ car auctions, where my buddy picks up cars a few times a week. Add another $50 for my buddy for his inconviences and I payed a grand total of $130 for a complete GT exhaust.
