Im guessing he's sticking with the originality of having an iron block instead of a aluminum one. They also have improved suspension??? i didn't know that.

Buckshot, I agree 100% in regards to the pony package. The V6 has plenty of power and I had to have those rims. I went with the Automatic thoughand I love it. Bought mine in December, dealer threw in the V6 performance pkg ( abs/tc ) $775, and took advantage of the Ford $1000 incentive. I wanted the oil & amp gauges and those cost $460 with the Interior upgrade package.Surely the GT's come with 6 gauges as standard equipment. It's true V6's depreciate fasterthan GT's, but I don'tcare, I'm keeping it for a long time.

Buckshot Barry: Curious why the cast iron block is a plus?
Aluminum heads are great, but there are disadvantages to an aluminum block. Bolts that require substantial torquescrew in to the block (head bolts specifically). With that muchrequired torque the possibility of stripping the bolt threads are increased with aluminum. Granted technology has come a long way and I've never had a problem with aluminum blocks in the many Honda and Acura vehicles that we have owned. But I have never owned a Ford (or any other make) that met the quality control standards of those 2 manufactures either. Do a search in Yahoo of "heli coil aluminum block" to learn more.

"For V-6 buyers, the Pony Package includes a customized grille with GT-style round fog lamps and a chrome bezel, or “corral,†around the traditional Mustang prancing horse. Backing up this visual upgrade is a GT-inspired suspension featuring a larger front stabilizer bar, the addition of a rear stabilizer bar and P235/55ZR17 tires on painted cast-aluminum wheels. With bright machined rims and unique tri-bar Pony center caps, these are the largest factory wheels and tires ever fitted to a V-6 Mustang. Further touches include Pony front fender badges, lower door tape stripe, carpeted front floor mats with special brushed chrome “Mustang†logos and a rear spoiler."

Buckshot,

I think your the only one in the world with a trunk release on a 2005+ model of the Mustang.

Trunk release? Where?
The round emblem on the back of the Mustang where a key opens the trunk. It resembles the gas cap on my '70 Mustang

+1 for all of the above.

I love the grille, wheels, spoiler, and the retro look.

I drove a GT and a V6 back to back and I could not justify the added $$$ for the GT over the V6.

Hi, I wanted the Pony too but when I order it the package was over $2000 and I couldn't afford it. So I got the base Mustang and put the pony grill in for a little over $100.Saved a bunch of money and got the look I wanted. Great car except for the front end thunking noise.

I never considered a GT. I dont like the empty grill of the V6, but the pony package fixes all that. My only problem is the dual exhaust, but I am fixing that...
