Rear Upper Control Arms
Ok so what are rear upper control arms. I know they are for suspension but what exactly is the gain from them. And can ones from a GT or Roush fit on our car? thanks

RE: Rear Upper Control Arms
On our cars, there are two Lower Control Arms (LCAs) and one Upper Control Arm (UCA). A common mod is to replace the LCA's with afternarket units - either adjustable or non-adjustable. Adjustable LCAs are recommended if you have installed lowering springs, or plan to do so later (an adjustable panard bar is also needed if you install lowering springs). Non-adjustable LCA's work great with stock springs. However, an adjustable UCA is recommended if you go with non-adjustable LCAs and lowering springs, in order to keep the proper pinion angle. LCAs and the UCA are made with different bushing material - the firmer the material, the more road vibration that will be transmitted to the vehicle. I was told that a good UCA is key to reducing wheelhop. A GT driveshaft will not fit on the V6 cars, so there's no benefit there - but there are aluminum 1-piece driveshafts available that reduce rotational mass.
