RE: Snow!!!
I just drove home in 1/2 inch ice covered with 4 inches of snow. Quarter thank and no weight... and she did fine. Stayed in 3rd (auto), and took off reaaaaaly easy.. Stopping was fine. Even backed into my garage (see avatar).
Had no big hills though.. hills would have been a problem.
Stock pzero's, btw.

Well, I must say that I'm very impressed. Didn't get stuck once. We have about 5 inches of snow on the road from where the plows made their last round, and about 11-13 on the grassy areas. My crown vicis another story. Stuck 3 times, but I had to go where the plows hadn't been yet. Thanks all for the input.

Ya I have a set of the Cooper performance tire snows that worked good last year. Haven't had to put them on this season. I'm not driving today with this crap coming down. The snow tires are the same as cop cars use. Not like old style snows. Anyway the Coopers were good for 3 inches. Although I have no choice to drive my car year round (financial reasons) if your making good money buy a crapbox for bad weather. Ya I know: Insurance, tires, brakes, reg. etc. It cost money for a second car but if you can afford it go ahead. If not get the quality snows and be careful.

I live in Cleveland and and in the middle of the "Storm of the Century." I have a 2006 V6 five speed with no traction control. I have 2 Winterforce snows on the rear wheels and the stock all seasons on the front. I have had no trouble whatsoever, all I do is start in second gear when needed so the tires dont spin. For those of you that say you wont be able to stop or steer with all seasons on the front and that 4 snows are a must... your wrong. Every other SUV/ Truck has all seasons and they can stop and turn with them on.... no difference in the stang.
