RATTLES, RATTLES !!!

RE: RATTLES, RATTLES !!!
Well I had a horrible rattle in my shifter area, but I found a quick easy fix for it. I bought a piece of felt from my local craft store and cut it to fit under the shifter boot. Since then the rattling has decreased by about 80%. In that area at least. Now instead of rattling it hums. I'm thinking about trying to put a bit behind the paneling on my dash to see if it will stop that because the dealer sure doesnt know how to fix it.

RE: RATTLES, RATTLES !!!
I just had mine in the shop a couple weeks ago for dash rattle and vert top noise, they fixed the dash on the first trip but I've had it back in once for the roof. The roof is now a lot better but still getting some niose; they said it's because it's lowered and the ride is stiffer. I'm going to get either D-Spec shocks and struts or the Saleen set up and see if that helps.

My stang is a nice car but it is a rattle and creek trap, just like the 06 was.....Ford did use some cheap materials when buliding this car! No point in bringing it in because they can't ever seem to fix noises!!

RE: RATTLES, RATTLES !!!
yeah, i realized that cheap materials were used in this car when i first bought it. but the up side to it is the lower price tag. as long as the body looks good and the engine is strong, i think its still a great deal. i was just hoping that somebody figured out a simple self-fix to the dash rattles. i may try taking it to a different dealership but hesitate since its likely to be a waste of time since many dealerships havent figured out the cause yet. ima try pulling out the stereo and looking inside myself to see if i can notice anything that might be loose. if i find anything, i'll let the forum know. if anyone figures it out themselves, PLEASE LET US KNOW.
