Dual Stock Exhausts tuned for V6
Hey guys,
Accidentally posted this in the GT section the first time, whoops. Anyhow, I recently got an upgrade to a GT bumper because of a small accident, so I decided I would like to get dual exhausts for a little bit more power and nicer look. I've been searching around for sound clips and video of different exhaust systems and most everything I've heard doesnt seem to have the right harmonics tuned for a V6 at higher RPMs.I use to drive a ricer with a fart can for an exhaust and now I just cant stand the noise those things make, and I'd really like to avoid it on my stang.
Im wondering if anyone has tried putting a second stock muffler for a V6 on and Y it off from the Catalytic converter.Im not so sure this will work either because there will be decreased airflow between both and that'll change the harmonics as well, but I dont know. If this doesnt work can anyone recommend a set thats fairly quiet in regard to drone and still gives a little more power?Im also trying to find a stock exhaust if anyone knows of a good place online to get one. None of the junkyards nearby have any that havnt been stripped down already. Thanks!
Jon

RE: Dual Stock Exhausts tuned for V6
actually ford made the v6 with 2 cats already followed by a y pipe so go to a muffler shop, cut off the y, buy or have fabricated an x or h pipe and get the gt take off mufflers for good sound and little drone and get resonators to eliminate pretty much all drone..just look around the forums this has been covered tons before
