centi will get more hp roots will get boost faster lower numbers. Thats your only options on the 4.0

there is actually also the roots avialble for the 4.0 now. explorer express

however, if you are looking for most power, you are going to want to go with the centrifugal

Depends... what do you want it for? Ease of install? Look? All out power? There is simply no one BEST supercharger... all have their pro's and con's... there are number of factor s to consider...

i want it for All out power but wont really affect the dependability of my car and a lil bit of ease of install

You want the best of both worlds! For all out power go turbo, for ease of installation go X-Charger, the centri blowers are powerful but I don't know how hard to install. All of the systems seem pretty dependable if you keep the boost under control and use an intercooler on the centri/turbo's, X-Chargers don't have an IC yet but don't seem to need it at 6 to 8 psi. Whatever you go with you'll be happy!

For install the turbo is probably going to be the toughest, especially if you don't have access to a hoist... The centrfi have been installed by a few guys in their driveways. hardest part on the centrif's is probably going to be the IC...

the turbo took less than 10 hours to install
but without a lift, id say add 5-6 hours to that

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried pre-cooling the intake of an xcharger via an external intercooler since evidently there is noi/c available yet? Will one be available any time soon for the explorer xc's?
