Not Starting @ 7,000 Miles?
Ok guys I need a little help here. My hubby, daughter and I went to take Oscar out to get some lunch this afternoon and he did not want to start up for me. After trying about 3 times to start him up he growled a little I gave him some gas and he snapped out of it. Blowing some black smoke out of his tail pipe.
Now his engine and all of his components are bone stock... no mods there yet. We are going to take him up to the dealer next week to get looked at.
My question is : Is this related to the 05-22-8 TSB? It was the only thing I could think of and he has been fine since that instance, he starts right up- no problems. Thanks ahead of time for your input.

Mine did that once when it was really cold out. It took two times to start. First time I cranked it untill she started to chug...the engine was bearly running and all the lights were flashing because of the really low rpm. The engine died then I tried again. The second time she chugged a bit then came to life. It never happend after that time again so im not too worried. It can happen with any car.

I have had similar problems... but it was because the negative battery cable was loose... from the firewall, and not the battery... or at least thats what my dealer told me... but its working fine now, and it doesnt shut down the entire car (clock and trip odo reset) like it used to....

it happened once to me a while ago. it was in the morning, so i got my dad to drive me to class. when i got back home all was okay. i took it to the dealer and they said that they couldnt find any problems at all. however, it was really cold at the time too, probably around -3 Celsius (sorry guys, i dont know what that is in fahrenheit....old habits die hard)

It happened to me 1 time and it was during summer, about 85 deg outside. I just passed it off as result off bad throttle lag when I tried to take off way too hard running late for work. It hasn't done it since. unless it happens frequently I wouldn't worry about it
