Default location of the stock y pipe?

ok...i just saw a pic of a black mustang on this forum called the Black Pearl....and it was a pic of the underside of the exhaust...now on this picture it shows the y pipe up at the front end of the car just behind the motor..now i know for a fact on my car the stock exhaust is true duals right down the car until just before rear axle...thats where it joins to a single...now is this pic stock ??...i don't think so..not on mine anyways.

ummm if your cars exhaust is how you describe it, then a few things

1. whoever did it should be shot
2.its obviously not stock
3.take a pic of yours, i find that hard to believe

if you bought it brand new, and you've never done any work on it, then you were either really high, or you are confusing the massive driveshaft as one of the exhaust pipes.

again, id love to be proven wrong, but its not gonna happen.

Sounds like you were lied to and got ripped off or maybe you're on drugs?
Stock single exhaust systems on our Mustangs do not come in the configuration you are discribing.
Not from the factory anyway. Where did you buy your car? From Mickey Mouse Ford?

Yes that exhaust is stock. To my knowledge, all V6s have that setup. Try putting your car up on a lift. I think you might just be mistaken.

If I crossed my eyes a bit and blurred my vision, I think i could believe that the driveshaft was a second exhaust pipe[sm=alcoholic.gif]
