Default How to Burnout?

I know how to Burnout but just dont know how some of you guys are dead still during the burnout. Is the break being pressed during the burnout? If you dont know what I am talking about just search for a video where track racers are warming thier tires before getting to the line. Any help would be appreciated.

Unless the car has line locks that just lock the front brakes, you just hold the brake so the car doesn't move while hitting the gas to light em up. Thats for an auto trans. For a manual trans you do the same thing but you have to drop the clutch first then quickly get on the brake.

I know FAZM. I have seen your burnout video on your myspace. Are you using the heel-toe method?

For the auto, I put the car in 1st....rev to 5k....then put the car in 2nd and hold it at 5k. Heres an example:

my dad tought me how to heel toe it when i was 11. i wish he was still around. but being 11 and learning how to drive in a 66 chevelle SS is an experiance in and of it's self. i remember when he and my oldest brother took out the 396 and swaped it for a 327, but pop had tht 327 prepped and all. my mom came home from phoenix and she say the old engine sitting in the driveway... yea mom wasnt too happy about tht. tht happened when i was lik 6 or 7. wow memories

For the manuals couldn't you also use the emergency brake instead of heel to toe?

I know it wouldn't be good for the e-brake. But then again, I don't think burnouts are good for any type of brakes to begin with.
