this is a mutiple part question: we are looking to add duals to the 05 V6 my son wants them deep and throaty like the GT or shelby especially of years past. What brands have you guys and gals used. Are you going with straight pipes, x pipe or an h pipe, I will be ading a cold air intake after he goes out of factorty warranty, do not want to do a retune or flash untilt then
Thanks

I'm not sure about the v6 duals, i have a single it is in no way a v8 sound but a sound on its own. I would say straight pipes would be your best bet, but hopefully someone with duals can answer your quesion better. I hope im wrong, and would not be surprised if i am id like to get a nice pair of duals myself.

I've been told X pipe is best but I'm not sure about what muffler. I'm keeping my single right now because I love the sound of my car Not sure if I'd ever change it now.

pypes xpipe with street pros..loud deep tone, but its loud. It has gotten much more mellow and I can live with it. It really sounds aggressive. and it gives the v6 an authoritative voice. Im going to get a better clip up soon

Hey Fazm is that a Cobra I see next to yours? And what size are those tips on your exhaust? And to answer the question, I have JBA's, y pipe which it came with and the sound is very similiar to nonstopred's. Def not like a GT and much deeper when you get on it than at idle. I actually think when I first start up the car after it has been off all night it sounds pretty deep, and deeper than when its warm and idling. anybody else agree with that?

hate to be honest and all...but...you cannot mirror the sound of V8...can't be done...headers and pipes will go along way but you still will not have that same deepness...that said i have a Y pipe JBA exhaust and JBA headers...my car sounds more like a 88' Ferrari then a V8 Mustang but I actually like that athestic...in either case best of luck...
