Default Converting to GT Bumper

Hi folks,

I'll be switching to the GT bumper as soon as I figure out which company to go with for take off parts.

Has anyone dealt with http://www.newtakeoff.com ?

Where do you folks get your GT upgrade parts?

There are lots of ideas as to what to get, just not as much on where to actually find it out there.

Thanks for any help,

SOHC[/align]

The covers I recieved via V6MustangStuff, twice, were both marred and deeply scratched.
Well beyond the'minor'clear coat scratches they say may exist.

The firstGT rear bumper coverwas scratched all the way down to the primer ina couple places and the replacement they sent wasn't much better. I ended up choosing between two evils and decided to touch up the first one to hide the deep scratches.

They both came looking like they had been thrown on the floor anddragged around.

I've heard good things about newtakeoff.com though. Next time I may buy from them if/when.

They do put that the bumpers may come damaged it cannot be gaurenteed but twice in a row does seem weird. Personally i got mine from Diversified as well. And just like Venom said they shipped fast and have good pricing.

Here's what V6MustangStuff says on their site.

Rear GT Bumpers are taken off new 05/05 GT mustangs with less than 10 miles on the odometer. They may have minor scratches or blemish's from removal, and slight buffing or scratch remover may be necessary. Many colors available to match your Mustang perfectly! Contact us for availability before you order. Ships UPS and includes UPS large item fee.

Note they say "slight buffing or scratch remover may be necessary".
They do not say "touch up painting may be necessary" or "may have deep gouges" or "could be scratehd all over as if they were dragged on the floor"
That is how mine came. Both of them.
I do give V6 credit for 'trying' to correct the situation and they did send me the replacement within 3 days. V6 only has so much control over what other companies do quality control wise.

Diversified is located in Cali and their bumpers ship from Indiana so they do not see their bumpers either, so to bash V6mustangstuff.com, I don't think is very fair. I have bought many products from Don and never had a problem. I bought my exhausts there and their shipping was fast and packed very well. I think your issue is with his supplier, not him, but even if, I would still go with Diversified, just because many people on here have bought from them and I got my GT bumper in two days, no scratches. The rear took a little longer because they only had one in stock and it was badly scratched up so Aaron had the courtesy to call me and tell me that and tell me I had to wait one more day for them to get new ones in. And when I received it, it had one chip on the very bottom which nobody would see anyway. But hey it's your call, just giving my input.

I just looked up Diversified...

Clicked on the link and it sent me to http://www.newtakeoff.com/

Guess that answers my question!

Thanks guys!

I'm takin' the plunge Wolfey!

Umm.. let me rephrase that!

"Shipping is not available to that address"

Um, are we blacklisted in VT?

I guess I'll have to call when I'm off work...

I didn't bash V6MustangStuff and if it came off that way I appologise.
I did state that they did their best to take care of my issue by having a replacement sent to me within 3 days. I also stated that V6 drop ships out of Indiana so anyone reading that should realise V6 isn't to blame.
Nuff said.

Thanks guys!

I ordered the GT Bumper and Rocker covers in Vista Blue.

Should be sweet!

Shipping was less than $100 !!!!

Some places want $250 for shipping!!

Here's the gorey details:

Product Information:
-----------------------------
Mustang GT Rear Appearance Package 2005-2007 (Includes bumper & TWO GT mufflers)
Vista Blue
Part#: FR3-05REARPKGG9
Manufacturer Part#: FR3-05REARPKG
(Qty: 1 x $199.99)
Mustang GT Rocker Moulding
Set 2005-2007 (Pair)
Vista Blue

I figured for $40 I might was well get the 2 GT mufflers in case the PYPES cans are too disturbing.

Just waiting for a question to be answered by the Pypes team and I'll order them today.
