I guess the only opinions here that really count are from those who have actually tried more than one kind of muffler. I've only tried the GT takeoff, but I recommend it. I receive many compliments on the sound (as well as for the car's look, but that's beside the point). I just got another compliment on the sound an hour ago. People always ask if it's a V8.

Many agree that the GT takeoff is the "best" exhaust for those who simply want an upgrade from the stock muffler, but not TOO loud. I can hear my exhaust now, compared to before. It sounds sexy when I put the pedal down in second......

BTW, you might be able to score one of these by posting your request in the GT section of this forum. A lot of GT owners are upgrading their exhaust and trying to get rid of their stock. I know a couple of us have bought GT takeoffs for around $50.

I got a Pypes Street-pro. Good construction (SS), cheap price, $129 including shipping from American Thunder. It's got good deep sound but kinda droney at low rpm's. Hoping that will mellow out with time. Got a sporty car sound, what do you expect with a V-6? I like it though.

The first thing that I did was change out the stock muffler with a GT take off and i liked the upgrade a lot but later wanted something louder and at the time everyone was talking about the MRT axle back so I bought one.......it was nice at first then drone just sucked and its kindy ricey sounding in the higher rpms...I have dual american thunder flowmasters nowand they're exactely what I was looking for.....deep.....it has a little drone and not ricey at all. I think only those that have had personal experience with other mufflers (and not only heard sound clips).......should post..............because everyone else is biased in their opinion on theirfirst muffler.

Personally i love my Flowmaster axle back, it does have some drone, but ive heard a borla on one that sounds pretty killer and my buddy has an MRT that is definatly a head turner aswell.
